Accommodations

Accommodations

Students with an Individual Program Plan (IPP) are able to access the following exam accommodations (if applicable) in our Success Center: audio, scribing, quiet space, extra time, ambient noise and frequent breaks.

Typically, students talk to their teacher about what accommodation is needed for an exam and the teacher books the student into the Success Center to write their exam. On the day of the exam, the student usually goes directly to the Success Center. Once the exam is complete, they either stay in the Success Center or return to class as directed by the teacher.

Although many accommodations are used in teaching situations, not all of those accommodations are appropriate in a testing situation. The list below is of permitted accommodations for Diploma Exams.
