UNESCO
Queen Elizabeth High School is one of two schools in Alberta designated as an UNESCO (United Nations Educational, Scientific, and Cultural Organization) School. UNESCO schools focus on innovative inclusive quality education. As such, we "empower learners to take on active roles locally and globally to resolve global challenges and contribute proactively to a more just, peaceful, inclusive, secure and sustainable world".
As an UNESCO school, our emphasis is on UNESCO's four pillars of learning:
1. Learning to Know
2. Learning to Do
3. Learning to Be
4. Learning to Live Together Sustainably
